56th Motorized Brigade patch
The 56th Motorized Brigade is a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The brigade was activated on February 23, 2015, and took command of three volunteer defense battalions. The brigade fought in the War in Donbass as a motorized brigade. In June of 2019, it was announced the 56th would be transferred to the Ukrainian Naval Infantry and remain in Mariupol.
